Fruit Basket Shaker Kit

An Apple a Day!

Morning,

Mary-Ann Maldonado here with you today to share a layout I created with the new Fruit Basket Shaker Kit.  It is super darling and you can do so many things with it, as you have probably have already seen!  The Design team is really doing a fantastic job, showcasing different techniques.

I started my layout with apple picking pictures, the apple die, the apple Fimo's, and twine.  I added my photos and the stamped sentiment before playing around with apple placement.  To stamp without one of the words, all you do is color the stamp (minus the word) with a color pen, huff on the stamp to warm it, and stamp.

I started with creating my 3-D apples.  I cut several layers of the apple innards, folded them in half and backed the outer edges with apples to created a 3-D look. (See photo below.)   I cut my title and started working on the shaker apple quarters at the bottom.

The empty space at the bottom needed more apples.  I used the quarter orange to create sections of apples.  I removed the tip red line and the small lines that created the orange segments.  This created a clean apple wedge.

Then the top felt empty!  Ha.  That is where the twine came into play and the small segment pieces from the die.  I created my whimsical banner.  Added a few enamels for color and detail, and that was it!

I hope you have been inspired to bring your fun Queen kits off of the and onto the page.
